Colorful, fragrant Lilacs have been a Yerke farm tradition since 1869. With more than 30 lilac varieties to choose from, you'll like the fragrance of this “natural air freshener”.

Know that your vegetable plants have had a healthy, natural start as YERKE Frog Alley Greenhouses, one of Wisconsin's few USDA “Certified Organic” growers of tomato, peppers, herbs and other vegetable plants. New this year is their unique collection of Organic Seeds for your garden from Olds Seed Company. While being “green” is the current rage, Frog Alley Greenhouses has been green for years! Plastic containers and trays are recycled and most plants are hand watered to help conserve water.
Frog Alley Greenhouses also grows apple, peach, plum and cherry trees along with strawberry, raspberry and blueberry plants. Can't you just taste that “homegrown fruit salad” fresh from your garden? Since man does not live by bread (or vegetables) alone, the greenhouses are brimming with annual and perennial flowers. Their outstanding collection of “Proven Winner” flowers offer every color of the rainbow. Floral Hanging Baskets and Planters for sun or shade are dripping with color and garden ready - just add water! For those who are adventuresome you can “get down and get dirty”, using their professional potting bench to plant your own containers with plants direct from the greenhouses.
Families especially enjoy the trip to the farm so the kids can select pretty flowers and veggies that can be planted at home.

The farm greenhouses reopen mid-April for the 2010 Season.
